Oz has been shortlisted in the ‘Excellence in Writing’ category of the York Culture Awards 2018, for his chapbook Learning to have Lost, and for his energetic support of emerging writers in the city and beyond. The result will be announced at the awards ceremony at York Theatre Royal, at 6.30pm on Monday 19th November. This is the second time Oz has been shortlisted for the award (the first was in 2016), and he is uncharacteristically speechless.
